I feel honored to tell you about it. Celebrated on May 5th in the lunar calendar, it is a folk festival having a history of more than two thousand years. Also, it is one of the most important festivals in China.
As for the origin of the Dragon Boat Festival, there are many beautiful legends, of which the story about Qu Yuan is most widely accepted. Qu Yuan, a Chinese poet who loved his country deeply, drowned himself in the Miluo River after his country’s being defeated. 在上世纪90年代中后期，镜湖的水体呈高富营养化状态，水质严重恶化，水变成了黄色。恶化的原因主要有：芜湖市某医院通过地下水道将大量未经处理的污物、污水直接排进了镜湖；部分素质不高的市民往镜湖里倒垃圾；最可气的是镜湖风景区的某些工作人员竟然在镜湖里洗拖把！慢慢地，镜湖水变成了黄色，湖面上漂浮着许多垃圾，还散发着一股臭味。来到镜湖边的人们都捂着鼻子跑开了，嘴里还不停地说：“真臭！臭死了！”
一九九九年DDD二０００年，芜湖市人民政府号召全市人民清理镜湖。首先，工作人员用机器将湖水抽干，再由党员带头和市民们一起挖掉淤泥，最后注入清澈的水。我外公是党员，他有着亲身体验，外公说，那次劳动很累，但改善了镜湖的水质，大伙儿都感到很高兴。

英语作业还有一大把没写完，但是这个英语口语作业都还没完成，重点是完成的一点都不顺利，这直接严重影响到了我继续读下去和写作业的心情。我有那么一瞬间是想要放弃继续读的，但是我不能放弃，求英语善待我一下。我真的好难，对英语我真的是既喜欢又崩溃，喜欢是因为我觉得学会英语很酷，崩溃是因为我的英语口语作业太难完成了，老是读不好。一直读不好我真的是太崩溃了。其实吧，我觉得应该是系统不好的缘故，之前都不会这样一直读一直读都是不及格的分数。即使这样，我还是得顽强的'把这些作业给完成，也许这次完成的不会像之前那么好，但是我尽力完成好点。

Sometimes there are some crazy people driving on the roads without driving licenses, or worse, drink and drive, which can make the road into a bloody battle field. Why do such things happen? In my opinion, it is just due to their lack of moral duty that people ignore various traffic rules, road safety, or even the lives of others. This leads to their bad and reckless behavior, which makes the traffic conditions go from bad to worse. It is believed t hat something should be done to improve the whole situation. Then road safety won't be a problem and traffic conditions won't be a bother to us anymore.
