过年了，餐桌上当然少不了鲜美的鸡肉了。看奶奶杀鸡，只见奶奶把烧好的热水放入事先准备好的脸盆里，然后让爷爷把鸡的脚与翅膀抓住，奶奶拿着明晃晃的菜刀，先把鸡脖子上的毛毛拔掉，然后用刀割断鸡脖子上的血管，血就从鸡的脖子里流出来，这时候的鸡进行最后的垂死挣扎，没过一会儿鸡就不动了，奶奶把鸡放到事先准备好的脸盆里。
镜头二：烧火
同学们在家应该都看到过父母烧菜做饭吧，但今天我要带你们去一个别样的厨房，看，这个厨房烧菜做饭用的不是我们平时看到的煤气而是自己做的大灶，上面放着一口很大很大的锅，下面是用柴火作为燃料的，听奶奶说这叫大灶，以前城市农村做饭都用它，现在城市生活条件好了已经不用了，农村还保留着，不过也只是偶尔用一下，在我的要求下，今年的年夜饭就是这口大灶里烧出来的，我与弟弟自告奋勇的承担起烧柴火的活，先用松毛把小的'柴引着，然后根据烧菜的火候添加或是减少柴的数量。这可是烧菜的关键，柴太多菜就容易烧焦，反之就不容易熟。用大灶烧饭可真是一门学问啊，在奶奶手把手的指点下，我与弟弟勉勉强强才把这任务完成了。
镜头三：吃年夜饭
忙碌了一个下午，终于在大家的努力下做了满满一桌丰盛的菜肴：瞧刚刚还是活蹦乱跳的鸡啊，鱼啊，现在已经被奶奶搬到了餐桌上了，除了鸡啊，鱼啊，还有奶奶自己种的各种好吃的蔬菜，我与弟弟最喜欢吃奶奶烧的五香牛肉啦，开饭了，随着奶奶一声令下，我们家的女将们把事先准备好的菜一盘一盘端到桌上，大家一起围坐在餐桌旁，一边吃一边聊，爸爸妈妈们向爷爷奶奶汇报一年的工作情况，我与弟弟汇报我们一学期的学习情况，这次考试弟弟比我考得好，我暗暗下决心下学期要超过弟弟。然后就是长辈们给我与弟弟发红包，我与弟弟打算把红包一部分拿去让爸爸去投资，一部分留着买学习用品啊。一年一度的年夜饭在一声声的祝福理结束了。
