初一英语演讲稿 1
Hello! Every one. My name is XuJiaWei, from Class 3 Grade 7.
Please think a minute! I heard a funny true story about this guy who goes to the gym to exercise and work out each week. He takes 20 minutes to change his clothes. Then he walks around the gym talking with different people.
After that, he reads the newspaper. Finally, he does a few stretches and 5 minutes of exercises. Then he takes a hot steam bath before going home. So in the whole 2 hours he?s at the gym, he only spends 5 minutes exercising! One day, someone heard this man saying:“I don?t understand it. I go the the gym almost everyday, but I never seem to lose weight.” But every body at the gym knows why, because they see this guy there doing everything except the main thing exercise!

Hello:
Honorable judges, ladies and gentlemen, good morning.
first of all, let me take this chance to present to you a set of data that i hope won’t bore you since the source is china daily.
china’s tourism revenue last year reached 500 billion rmb, an increase of 10.5 percent from the year before, and comprised more than 5% of china’s gdp. according to e_perts, this number will grow to 8% in the coming ten years and more than 40 million jobs will be created.
As a student majoring in economics, i can’t be more sensitive to the essential meanings behind these numbers. they mean progress, prosperity, employment and stability.
However, as a conscientious chinese and citizen of the world, i can’t help but care more about the losses incurred in this transaction, by which i mean the disturbing images of environmental destruction, which leads to ecological crisis. the global environment has changed for the worse during the past few years, and tourism is partly to blame. take china for e_ample, in order to attract tourists, many unknown places are built into resorts. forests are cleared, prairies trampled, rivers and lakes 6)contaminated, wild animals are driven away, plants jeopardized and secluded populations disturbed.
if this seems too remote and abstract, my own traveling e_perience may speak louder here. last year i took a tour around emei mountain in sichuan province. like most tourists, i was eager to embrace nature and enjoy its beauty. however, as soon as i got on the bus, the stench of gasoline and the noise of the engine tainted my appreciation of the wonderful scenery and the tranquility of the country road. when we finally arrived, what i saw was not a beautiful landscape but crowds of people; what i heard was not the melodious singing of birds, but yelling and bargaining from the gift shops; what i smelled was not the fresh mountain air, but stinking suffocating smoke coming out of small dirty restaurants. moreover, i could not understand why the lovely monkeys living there had to take photos with tourists all day; why the beautiful butterflies and flowers had become lifeless samples in shop windows; why the strongest impressions i had was trash scattered everywhere on the ground.
However, this is not the end of the story. before i left emei, i met a group of kids in an ecotourism program with the slogan: “e_periencing, learning and protecting.” when i saw their young hands picking up trash from the ground, when i felt their enjoyment and harmonious relationship with the animals, when i found their purest eyes filled with passion and love for nature, i realized to my great satisfaction that there doesn’t have to be a tradeoff between tourism and ecology, because deep within us is an inclination toward natural beauty and a desire to protect it. yes, environmental problems will eventually ease with the advancement of science and technology and improvement of our management system. however, an increase of ecological education and hands-on environmental involvement of our fellow citizens will do even better. to realize this, the best way for us lies in tourism itself because nothing other than nature can teach us how to love and cherish our sweetest home. at the end of my speech, please let me quote bob dylan:
How many roads must a man walk down before you call him a man?
How many times must a man look up before he can see the sky?
How many years can a mountain e_ist before it’s washed to the sea?
The answer, my friend, is not in the wind-the answer is ours! thank you!

Internet Civilization:
Good afternoon, ladies and gentleman! First I want to say is that I’m very proud of to be invited to to present my topic here, which is “ Internet Civilization”.
Before I begin my topic, please allow me to ask you a question: Every time you click the mouse to surf the web, do you know what does it mean?
On the net, you can make friends overseas and call them with IP phones; you can get information from all over the world; you can even give a hand to some people in troubles and get help when in need.
However, we have to admit that internet also leads to intimacy before acquaintance; it scatters secrets outwards, not inwards; and, most worrying of all, it is a vehicle for liars.
Here we should see, there exists good and evil, right and wrong on the web. As netizens, we’d better grow to realize the importance of Internet Civilization.
Just as the famous saying goes “Long and steep is the path to virtue.” Many people advocate that we should be sincere, honest and responsible in our society—the real world. Now, what I want to add is that we also should obey the primary moral principles in this virtual world.
All of my dear friends here, on the internet, which role did you play? Which role are you playing? And which role will you play?
Thank you very much!

If I can achieve this “future”, I think that I really grow up. And I deeply believe kindred, good-fellowship and love will perfection and happy in the future.
How to say future? Maybe it’s a nice wish. Lets make up our minds, stick to it and surely well enjoy our life.

When I was seven, I started learning English. I played games and sang English songs with other children. Sometimes, I watched English cartoons. Its funny. Then I discovered the beauty of the language, and began my colorful dream in the English world.
I hope I can travel around the world someday. I want to go to America to visit Washington, because my cousin is over there. Of course, I want to go to London too, because England is where English language developed. If I can ride my bike in Cambridge University, I will be very happy.
I hope I can speak English with everyone in the world. Also Ill introduce China to them, such as the Great Wall, and the gardens in Suzhou. I will teaching people of the world about the beautiful language of our country.
I like the English language. To learn English is wonderful. I once wanted to be an English teacher . I also like Chinese literature. When I was really young, I was able to remember lots of poems. I also wanted to be a teacher of Chinese. Now I think that both of my dreams can come true: I will be able to use English to teach foreign friends Chinese and share Chinese culture with them. So that more and more people will be able to get to know the 5000 years history culture, and the prosperity of our great China.
My future is not a dream. I am confident that it will come true.

Around us,there are plants, animals and many other live in nature,so to keep the balance of nature is very important for today, too many trees are still being cut down in many countries and flood all over the world are getting more and more serious,A lot of land has gone with is a lesson from nature.
When people move into a new place, they often cut down trees or pull out many wild plants to make don’t know that trees can stop flood and wind from washing or blowing the earth away, and that many of these wild plants are food for some wild the animals can’t find enough plants to eat, they will die or have to leave the place.
In one part of the United States, for example, the deer there like to eat a kind of wild mountain tigers there eat the people killed many mountain tigers to protect the there were so many deer that the ate up all the wild the deer began to eat the green leaves of the young trees the farmers thought of ways to protect their trees, then the deer had nothing to eat and many of them died.
The number of trees, deer, tigers, wild flowers and plants has changed much—less and need to do more to keep the balance of nature.

when I finally arrived on campus, I was in for a surprise. In fact, I was stunned. I had never before in my life felt poor. As a scholarship student, suddenly, I was surrounded by people who were so astoundingly rich! I was also fascinated by this and other differences – different faiths, politics, ethnicities, and culture.
And sure, at times it was uncomfortable. There were many moments I just wanted to turn around and go back home to my mother’s warm embrace – and also her great home cooking!
And like every one of you…every one of you, I made the best, most important choice of my life: I would pick up the threads of differences to weave myself a new community.
This would become my cause, my mission, my identity. I had found my purpose, rooted in beloved community.
I was inspired by the work of Dr. Martin Luther King. He called upon us all to embrace inclusion, love, and justice. He preached the soul force of nonviolent protest.
He warned against the perils of tribalism, of clinging to the familiar and holding sacred the status quo.
King famously addressed his…go ahead…he famously addressed his “Letter from a Birmingham Jail” not to his jailers, but to his “fellow clergymen.”
He challenged them to reject the status quo. In King’s words, we find the essence of beloved community, recognizing that: “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”

the thinking mans choice contact is made. nerves order the heart to pump faster. adrenalin surges to action. nerves constrict the blood vessels in the extremities of the body. skin temperature drops. fingers and toes grow colder. blood pressure jump. an alcoholic or a dope addict in the first stages of a "cure"? a man being catapulted into outer space? no! these effects stem from smoking just one cigarette.
the united states public health service is issuing continual warnings to smokers. if they abstain completely from smoking, their chances of acquiring lung cancer will be one in 275. their chances of dying of lung cancer will be one in 10 if they become heavy smokers─two or more packs a day. lung cancer is fatal in 95 per cent of all cases.
but in spite of glaring evidence and frequent warnings, the public is smoking more and more. the department of agriculture
estimates that this years consumption of cigarettes will reach 180 packs per person fifteen years of age and over. how many cigarettes does this mean per person?─3600.
why is smoking such an important problem? because smoking is not a mere habit, as so many think it is. no, it is more serious than that. a habit can be broken easily enough, but an addiction cannot. smokers lapse into helplessness! daniel schubert, of the university of chicago, quizzed 226 students at a large northwestern college about their smoking habits─why they started, what satisfaction they got, and if they wanted to stop. according to schubert, they wanted to quit smoking; but they couldnt.
if one is addicted to cigarettes, he is dependent upon them physically, as well as psychologically. what is it, if it is not
addiction, that motivates a man to go out in sub-zero weather to buy a pack of cigarettes? if necessary, he will drive ten miles late at night to find an open drugstore. what is it, if it is not addiction, that makes a moocher of an otherwise charming young girl?
i was talking to a professor not long ago who had just quit smoking. he told me what most of you already know─that once the
habit is started, watch out! it is next to impossible to stop smoking. i asked him how he ever managed to quit when he had been smoking over a pack a day for ten years. listen to his story.
"well, i cut down to one-half pack a day for the first week. i was touchy most of the time. the slightest irritation made my nerves jangle and my head want to explode. the next week i smoked five cigarettes a day and had an even worse case of nerves. then the following week i chewed gum and sucked on mints, candy, and pipe stems. frankly, i wasnt sure from one moment to the next if i could keep going. somehow i made it."
many of you know what this professor is talking about; you, too, have tried to break the addiction, but have failed. in the few minutes we have here today we can analyze the motives at the root of our smoking problem.
perhaps we can assure those who do not smoke, (and i am happy i can still include myself in this group), to nip in the bud the urges of those who are about to begin smoking, and to encourage to cut-down those who are already confirmed smokers.

Good morning (afternoon),everyone. I’m QinJin from Class1, Grade7. I’m very glad to stand here and give you a short speech. Today my topic is “Time”.I’m going to talk about the importance of time in English.
Someone says,“Time is money.”But I think time is even more important than money. Why?
Because when money is spent,we can get it ver, when time is gone,it’ll never is why we mustn’t waste time.
It goes without saying that is time is usually a second is very should make full use of our time to do something useful.
But it’s a pity that there are a lot of people who do not know the importance of time spend their limited time smoking, drinking and do not know that wasting time means wasting part of their own lives.
In a world,we should save the time,we shouldn’t leave today’s work for tomorrow.
Remember we have no time to lose. We must cherish it.
That’s all for today’s k bye.

Everyone has a lot of dreams. Some people want to be rich, dreaming ofbeing millionaires overnight.
Others want to be famous, dreaming of suddenlyjumping to great fame. I have a lot of dreams, too. When I was a young girl,Idreamed of being a scientist like Hua Imogen in future. However,I knew verywell that I could not succeed without painstaking efforts.
So I studied hard inthe middle school and college in order to attain my goal.
After graduating from, college,I found a job as a teacher. Although I wasvery busy with teaching,I never gave up my goal. I read a lot of books to getmore knowledge. I made experiments to practise and apply what I had learnt fromthe books. Sometimes,I was so deeply indulged in my research that I forgot mymeals and time. Now I have made great progress.
Several of my research papershave been published. The methods proposed in my papers have been proven to bevaluable for the solution of some problems. I am very happy. The ladder of beinga scientist is still far ahead, but I have climbed the first rung anyway.

as the song goes “ my future isn’t a dream .” i love the song which brings me confidence when singing it every time . i believe that all our dreams can come true if we have courage to pursue them .when i was young my father always asked me what i would be in the future .
sometimes i found it very hard to give a certain reply . “ i want to be a doctor .” “ i want to be a teacher .” and “ i ’d like to be a scientist !” many of these answers are perhaps very childish and ridiculous . but i never think they are far away .
how time flies! who is able to give a definition to his future ? i know clearly that those high buildings are based on solid foundation . as a student , i should have a reasonable aim , and study hard . my goal is to enter the best university for further study after middle school .
i know it’s hard work , and i ’ll come across many difficulties and frustrations . but no matter what they are , i’ll keep working on it and never give up .
my teacher says there ’s only one kind of people that are truly successful : those who are brave enough to put up with hardships .
even if i won’t achieve the goal , i have no regrets for what i have done , for i have struggled for my life .

And I know what youre thinking. You know, Im up here bagging out inspiration, and youre thinking, "Jeez, Stella, arent you inspired sometimes by some things?" And the thing is, I am. I learn from other disabled people all the time.
Im learning not that I am luckier than them, though. I am learning that its a genius idea to use a pair of barbecue tongs to pick up things that you dropped. (Laughter) Im learning that nifty trick where you can charge your mobile phone battery from your chair battery. Genius.
We are learning from each others strength and endurance, not against our bodies and our diagnoses, but against a world that exceptionalizes and objectifies us. I really think that this lie that weve been sold about disability is the greatest injustice. It makes life hard for us. And that quote, "The only disability in life is a bad attitude," the reason that thats bullshit is because its just not true, because of the social model of disability. No amount of smiling at a flight of stairs has ever made it turn into a ramp. Never.
Smiling at a television screen isnt going to make closed captions appear for people who are deaf. No amount of standing in the middle of a bookshop and radiating a positive attitude is going to turn all those books into braille. Its just not going to happen.

We Are The World ,We Are The Future Someone said “we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book, whose pages are infinite”. I don’t know who wrote these words, but I’ve always liked them as a reminder that the future can be anything we want it to be. We are all in the position of the farmers. If we plant a good seed ,we reap a good harvest. If we plant nothing at all, we harvest nothing at all.
We are young. “How to spend the youth?” It is a meaningful question. To answer it, first I have to ask “what do you understand by the word youth?” Youth is not a time of life, it’s a state of mind.
Let’s show our right palms. We can see three lines that show how our love.career and life is. I wondered whether we could see our future in this way. Well, let’s make a fist. Where is our future? Where is our love, career, and life? Tell me.Yeah, it is in our hands. It is held in ourselves.
Don’t cry because it is over, smile because it happened. From the past, we’ve learnt that the life is tough, but we are tougher. Failure doesn’t mean you don’t have it, it does mean you should do it in a different way. Failure doesn’t mean you should give up, it does mean you must try harder.
The past has gone. Nothing we do will change it. But the future is in front of us. Believe that what we give to the world, the world will give to us. And from now on, let’s be the owners of ourselves, and speak out “We are the world, we are the future.”
