On summer vacation of this year,I studied in novel “ old man and sea ” of Hemingway ,famous writer of U.S.A.,.I admire the old fishermans will in the novel very much,he lets me understand that a person must have unremitting spirit, could succeed .What the novel is described is an old fisherman almost the sixty years old, when go to sea and fish alone once, have angled to a big fish, but can not draw. After tough fisherman and fish have socialized for a few days, just find this is a big Malins fish which exceeds several times of ones own fishing boat, though know perfectly well that it is very difficult to win ,does not give up yet.Because big Malin fish fishlike smell of wound attract odd herds of shark vie for the food again later, but the old man is still unwilling to give up like this, stress the tight encirclement finally ,take the large fish back to fishing port ,let other fishmen admire it endlessly. The old fisherman thinks that as I read “:It is really too close from here to coast, perhaps there are bigger fish in the farther place ……”

When, admire very much because this old fisherman in the persons, because play not for some fishing he already at this moment I,but he is not satisfied with the existing state of affairs ,but advance towards greater goal.Seeing us again, meet some little difficulties at ordinary times ,all of us complain bitterly. We are the future of the motherland, should be as ambitious as this old man,go to pursue well ,greater goal.Read as me “ big Malin fish is it enclose light fishing boat move about ,is it get mast to twine cable fast to begin, old man right hand hold steel fork high ,jump out in a flash ,affording to try ones best above water in it,a sound of wail has finished the life of the loud fish,it floats on the surface of water silently ……”

When, the I one heart is too fall like pieces of stone not big.I admire that kind of fearing of the old man at all ,unremitting spirit very much, though know rivals strength is very strong ,but he has not shrunk back at all ,meets the difficulty.Just because there is this kind of spirit, the old fisherman has obtained the victory of the trial of strength of this life and death. We should study the old fishermans spirit too in life,do the thing and is not afraid of the difficulty ,could achieve success .Read big blood offensive smell of fish smell one shark ,fall over each other to visit to vie for the food, left hand of old man pull a muscle just,he can only use right hand, can weapon attacked to used for defend oneself with stick ,mouth of swordfish that catch everything, and has driven away this herd of shark finally. But big meat of fish take into big half already, but old man criticize ones own left hand “ when the work this when have a rest ” humorously also,I am subdued by old mans optimistic spirit too.In life, some losses are unavoidable,we should treat the optimistic attitude ,cant worry about petty gain or loss .Finally, the novel sees with a teenager that old fisherman has 18 feet of big long Malins fish totally in the tolerance ,the ones that have described this fish are enormous again, prove that old fishermans difficulty overcome is big, than ordinary.Old fishermans spirit that makes great efforts to struggle fearless of danger and difficulty that the novel has been extolled,we should be like him too,can t be satisfied with the current situation ,should be positive upwards,it should be unremitting to do anything,it must not give up halfway to meeting difficulty should meet the difficulty.Only in this way,we could obtain greater success and victory .

The Old Man And The Sea This is a great book, mind you. How I gave opinions to that is the spirits of Santiago greatly affected me. But the author, Earnest Hemingway said if his writing is really good, then the characters can also be many other things. Santiago is a common fisherman, and he hadnt had a fish for 84 days. And this time when he left he fished a big salmon by himself. He fought the fish for 3 days and nights and finally he kills it. He called it his brother.

But he then had to fight the sharks and finally he gone home with a fish spine, and some fish bones. I could find his great spirits of never giving up. Particularly if he just loose the grip of the fishing poleand let the fish go, he wouldnt have any trouble, but he can stay to the end. Something I regret to tell you is that I didnt read this book very carefully, so I intend to tell you I want to read this book again and tell you what Ive gained through the second-time reading.

The Old Man and the Sea is one of Hemingways most enduring works and may very well become one of the true classics of this generation. It played a GREat part in his winning the Pulizer Prize in 1953 and the 1954 Novel Prize for Literature and confirmed his power and presence in the literary world. Hemingway is also one of my favorite writers. Besides The Old Man And the Sea, I have read some of his other works, such as The Sun Also Rises, A Farewell to Arms and The Snow of Kilimanijaro. But The Old Man and the Sea is the one that left the deepest impression on me.

I first read this book when I was in my fifteens. And now I remember it just as well as if I had read it yesterday.

Pride and Prejudice is a chefdoeuvre.

My first impression of this story was from screen.

Its long long ago, maybe before I can read english books. I dont remember which movie edition I had seen. But I was impressed by the music, the scenery and the costume. I was very favor of a section of music in its balls. Its pretty brisk, liked a wonderful song of a bird. Regarding to the characters, I liked Elizabeth, the heroine, though I didnt think shes beautiful. But shes smart. However, I didnt pay much attention to the plot. I thought its so long that it made me impatient and bored. By now, I havent read the whole story in English or its Chinese version, either. I owe it to my prejudice.

In fact, I didnt understand the story at that time. I didnt know why it called Pride and Prejudice. Of course someone was pride, but I didnt find where s the prejudice. I thought its normal, the way people treated each other in that. I considered prejudice would be very disgusting. But to the movie everthing was OK in my minds, except its length. Now, I think I have understood more about it. Im a prejudiced person so I cant find wheres wrong. I merely like to do the things I like. Everytime I meet somebody or something,my thinking about he or it all depends on my foregone experience and my mood of the time.

The old man and the sea "is a novel written by American writer Hemingway, an old fisherman named Santiago eighty-four consecutive days did not catch a fish, although he has grey-haired, but he refused to admit defeat, still full of fighting spirit. At his insistence, finally in eighty-fifth days caught a one thousand and five hundred pound fish, eighteen feet long, the fish pulled the old man boat into the sea to swim, in no water and no food, no tools and peer predicament, the old man is still in the fight with the big fish, two days later he finally killed the fish, but also attracted many sharks, although he waged a fierce battle with the sharks, but he managed to get the big fish eat shark, the old man had to go home with the rest of the fish bones.

After reading the novel, I was deeply moved by the old man, and some people may think that the old mans behavior is very stupid, in the "no harvest" days can still hold on. Moreover, the old man was fortunate enough to have a big fish after a fierce struggle and was eaten by sharks, and what the old man had done before seemed meaningless to them. But in my opinion, the old man is admirable. First of all, the old man was very patient, and for the long days he did not reap anything. Even if he was laughed at, he persisted. Finally, his perseverance came in, but he had to fight the big fish. In the process, he was the only one on the ship. From the spiritual point of view, he was lonely, and there was no food on the ship, and his body could not support him any longer. In the physical and mental torture, he still persevered, and this is what I admire most of him.

I feel the same about the old man. In junior high school, we have to reform the sports running, long-distance running, for no movement of the cells for me, it is a bolt from the blue. When I first started, I was far from perfect. For me, it is to get out of class to tell some fantastic tales, most students are an easy job to do. If in sports in this regard with others widen the gap, he may also be very sorry. So I decided to practice long-distance running, maybe I could sprint the full score on the day of the exam. So in addition to the provisions of the morning school every day after school every day I ran outside, to walk a few laps around the track and field.

Distance examination and more than a year, long distance is really very strenuous, every time run out in a sweat does not say, for my poor people, running really very hard, from the beginning of the second lap breathing difficulties, when there are half circle of people want to fall to the ground, but also to be speed run, sprinting throat like something off, as if next second there is something to be poured out. But I still insist on, and finally to the examination day, although I tried my best, but still a little bit out of full marks. Know the moment of achievement, tears involuntarily in the eyes of the rotation, in mind, before the efforts are in vain?. Now, Zhang Sijia feels that his efforts are not without progress. At least I have made great progress.

Maybe sometimes, in the eyes of others, you insist on things is meaningless, but not all things can be accomplished, there must be a long process, through the long process, even if not successful, but they also can get to it.

Santiago, an old man about sixty years old, fished alone with nothing caught in eighty four days. No one would like to talk to him for his extremely bad luck except a boy who always came to help after the day and finally left to another boat under the pressure of his parents. Ignoring the contempt from the younger fishermen and sympathy from the older, on the morning of the 85th day, the old man started his fishing with determination and rowed his old boat very far in the sea where he believed there would be big fish. Fortunately the old man met with a big fish as he had wished and finally defeated the big Marlin with two days and nights struggle after overcoming great difficulties. But more unfortunately there were many sharks coming after his boat attracted by the smell of the blood of the big Marlin. After death-and-life struggle, when he finally got rid of the sharks coming after the boat, the big Marlin was bare skeleton.

The Old Man and the Sea tells a frustrated experience of the old man who fishes alone in the sea in plain languages. Through the simple lines, a “tough guy” image is shaped and heroism is praised. The whole story starts with a peaceful beginning which is some trivial of life and talking with the boy, and suddenly turns to its climax which is the dangerous fighting with the big fish and sharks alone in the sea, and ends with the old man’s return with the bare skeleton of the big Marlin. Though the boy only appears at the beginning and the ending in the novel, he plays an indispensible role, it is his inspiring and supporting that helps the old man to be “graceful under heavy pressure”.

In the book, the old man prepared his fishing properly and preciously than any other fishermen so that “Then when luck comes you are ready” as the old man thought to himself. In reality, some of us keep complaining that they are born in wrong time or good luck never knocks their doors. In fact, good luck sometimes just comes when they are not ready. Taking Newton for example, if he had not acquired a lot, millions of apples could never make him discovery the gravity. So if we just keep studying as much as we can, good luck will finally find us and a bright future is ahead of us. The old man never gives up hope. When all of people think he is doomed, he still strongly believes that he will get a big fish. And he does. So never giving up hope is very important to us. This reminded me of the sentence in Churchill’s speech “Never give up, never, never, never…”. “But man is not made for defeat. A man can be destroyed but not defeated” has always been inspiring me when I counter with some setbacks in my life. Setbacks are inevitable in pursuit of our goals, but we should never be frustrated and should be “graceful under heavy pressure” like the old man. It is his relentless pursuit that contributes to the victory.

The novel told a story about how the old fisherman Santiago struggled with the sea. Santiago gained a huge fish called Marlin after having drifted in the sea for 84 days. It was a fish that is 2 feet longer than the boat and that had dragged his boat for two days before being stabbed to death. It seemed that the old man wasn’t so successful, because he encountered a shark, struggled with the serious environments, even the only spoil——Marlin just left a skeleton. However, the most important thing is that Santiago had never given up for a moment.

In this novel, I am deeply impressed by his persevering. I admire the old fisherman for his steel-like mind and persistence. I think there’s a real young man inside him, although he is at an old age and no longer goes back to his youth. From the strong comparison between the old look and the young heart, we can easily find that it is the positive firm spirits that make us hold our hopes and keep trying all the time and finally guide the roads towards success.

Through the vivid description about the struggle between human and nature, Hemingway expresses his opinion that the courage inside human beings can help us face any failure and overcome any difficulty. In the book, the hero Santiago was beat by the shark, which we regard as a symbol of doom, but he chose to struggle with the fortune instead of losing faith in his life. Just the same as the hero Santiago, all of us will meet with various kinds of difficulties in our daily life, which is a rule of human’s fate. So how can we adjust our attitudes toward these and what should we do with so many problems? The old fisherman tell us the truth——“Man is not made for defeat. A man can be destroyed but not be defeated”.

"The old man and the sea" created a classic tough guy image. A man named sangdeya brother Cuban old fisherman,a man fishing alone in the 48 days after, have gained nothing caught a huge marlin. This is the old man never seen nor heard a big fish said his boat was two feet longer than the. Jin also big fish, dragging the boat drift for two days and two nights, the elderly have never experienced a difficult test in this two days and two nights, finally the barb, tied to the bow. But then they met a shark, the old man and the sharks were life-and-death struggle, the big marlin was eaten by sharks, fish skeleton old man finally dragged home only a bare.

Why not let the elderly Hemingway final victory? Novel in the words of the elderly: "a person is not born to be defeated","a man can be destroyed, but not defeated." This is the "old man and the sea" to reveal the philosophy. Undeniably,as long as one would have defects. When a person recognizes this shorting and tried to overe it and not go to it,no matter finally caught a full marlin or an empty skeleton, which have not really matter, because a persons life has value in the hunt Marlins in the process of fully embodied. Have their own pursuit of the ideal, struggle,he is not a winner? The old fisherman is wrong and the courage to challenge their own courage and confidence. Secular outlook from the perspective of victory, the old fisherman is not the final winner, because even though he began to beat the big marlin, but eventually the big marlin let sharks eat,he just took the big marlin bones house back to shore, that is to say,the shark is the winner. However,in the eyes of idealists, the old fisherman is a winner, because he has never been to sea to the big marlin sharks more promise and not to surrender. As music master Beethoven said,"I can be destroyed, but can never be conquered".

Human nature is a powerful, humanity itself has its own limits, but it is because of the old fisherman such people again and again to challenge the limits, beyond them, this limit was extended again and again, and again a greater challenge in front of human beings. In this sense, the old fisherman sangdeya brother this hero, whether they challenge limit is success or failure,is always worthy of our respect. Because,he brings us is the most noble human self-confidence!

Life is an endless pursuit. It is the road long, difficult and full of ups and downs, but,as long as he has a brave and confident heart to meet the challenge,he will always be a real winner!

Have you heard or readYes,it is one of Hemingway’s most enduring works. It is the story of an old Cuban fisherman went to the sea, fought with a giant marlin far out in the Gulf Stream. After a few of cruel fights ,he won. Though he was so beaten with the trip, he still full of brave. He was a hero. is a famous book and it was awarded the 1954 Nobel Prize for Literature. There is a eminent sentence in the book—“But man is not made for defeat,” he said ,‘A man can be destroyed but not defeated.

When I was a little girl, I was timid. In summer, I always went swimming with friends. We played happily and swam quickly. The border of the swimming pool is 1.2 metres deep, but the center is 1.8 metres. My friends were so brave to swim though the swimming pool but I was so afriad that I can’t .My friends told me it was only a little difficulties.‘ You must overcome it.There were more big difficulties in our lives and waiting we to slove . If we were afraid these little problem, how can we face to setback? So we must be brave and try our best to overcome the problems.’ After their words, I was full of courage. I did some ready exercise and tired to swim though. Finally, I succeed. We all felt excited and they celebrated to me. Yes, we should be brave and try out best to overcome difficult problems. We can’t give up easily.

We all know the big earthquake which had reached eight on the Richter scale in Wenchuan. It was a sad and shock earthquake. All things lay in ruins in a few seconds. The people who injured showed the willpower and they were firm as the fishman. is a good book.I learn many from the book.It teach me a person should be firm and brave in our live. We can’t be afraid and give up the difficultics. We must try our best to overcome the problems. We should trust ourself we can do it. Nothing is impossible.

The Old Man and the Sea "is a work by American author Ernest Hemingway. He narrated the story of fisherman Santiago going out to sea to catch fish. The old man didnt catch any fish for 84 consecutive days, but he didnt lose heart and went out to sea, finally catching a big marlin. But because of this marlin, it fought with a group of sharks for two days and two nights. Santiago is an old fisherman and also a tough guy. He is lonely, unlucky, poor, and old, but he is optimistic, confident, brave, and resilient. In the struggle with marlins and sharks, he endured hunger, pain, and did his best. From him, I saw the indomitable spirit of a tough guy.

My favorite line in the novel is what the old man said: "But a person is not born to be defeated. You can try to eliminate someone, but you cant defeat them.

This sentence reminded me of myself.

After entering eighth grade, the academic workload increased and I became more playful, resulting in unstable grades that fluctuated up and down. My parents are very worried about me. And I always feel that I am young and playing for a while wont do much. My peers are all in seventh grade, and I am already doing well now. I am proud of my cleverness. But human calculation is not as good as natural calculation. My monthly and mid-term grades are becoming increasingly unsatisfactory, and my parents are speaking less and less. While trying to minimize contact with my parents, I am also constantly thinking: Am I not smart enough? It doesnt seem like thats the reason. Is that because I didnt work hard enough? Am I not down-to-earth enough? Am I not ambitious enough.

A series of questions have made my heart increasingly anxious and uneasy. One day, my mother told me that she had found a book for me, and I quickly took it to read. It was The Old Man and the Sea . After reading it in one breath, I finally understood my mothers hard work. What I lack is the indomitable spirit of the elderly. No matter what difficulties or setbacks you encounter, you must persevere and never give up. My changes come from the inside out. I no longer run around and play with classmates outside of class, nor do I play with funny classmates. I start to calm down, focus on doing homework, think seriously about problems, actively read extracurricular classics, and take notes.

The old mans words inspired me to constantly strive and improve.

The Old Man and the Sea "is a famous book written by Hemingway. The book mainly describes the fishing experience of an old man in Santiago, expressing his strong will.

What impressed me the most in the book was the use of large chapters to describe his thrilling struggle with a group of sharks. At that time, the old man had not caught a single fish for eighty-four consecutive days. However, on the 85th day, the old man finally caught a large marlin. The big fish dragged the boat and swam in the sea, while the old man stubbornly held on without letting go. In the absence of water, food, weapons, and being alone with a cramp in his left hand, he remained undaunted. After two days and two nights of fighting, we finally killed the big fish and tied it to the side of the boat to bring it back to the harbor. But many ferocious and bloodthirsty sharks came to snatch his spoils of war; He did his best to drive them away, leaving only a broken tiller as a weapon in the end. But the marlin still couldnt escape the fate of being eaten up, and in the end, the old man dragged back a pair of fish bones exhausted.

What shocked me was the shark swarms, the elderly outnumbered, and the fish meat constantly decreasing. In my opinion, continuing to fight like this is meaningless because it wont win. Ordinary people would give up, but the elderly still give their all. This is simply a mental collision! What does it mean for an elderly person to go out to sea for several days and return empty handed! Thats failure!

In real life, the long journey of learning is not smooth sailing, and there are always many difficulties that stop us from moving forward. However, as long as we are down-to-earth, like the old man in the book, and give our all to cope, we will eventually be solved. Even if you fail, you have already done your best, and you will at least feel a little less ashamed. This is the inspiration that this book has given me!

During the holiday, I read the book The Old Man and the Sea, and the old mans tenacious perseverance in the book deeply impressed me.

This book mainly tells the story of an old fisherman who went fishing for eighty-four consecutive days and found nothing. When he went out to sea again, he encountered a big fish that was even longer than his boat. The story of an old fisherman who, with his unwavering perseverance, finally caught a big fish.

When I read The old man raised a steel fork in his right hand and threw it to its heart with all his might at the moment it jumped out of the water, ending the life of the big fish, I greatly admire the old mans fearless and persistent spirit. In life, I also want to learn the spirit of the old fisherman, who is not afraid of difficulties in doing things and has tenacious perseverance.

After reading this book, I was moved by the spirit of the old man. At the same time, I also thought of my own past. I particularly enjoy painting, so I enrolled in a painting class. At the beginning, I was very interested and became excited as soon as class arrived. I couldnt wait to sit on the chair and eagerly draw. I didnt expect that at that time, I was only interested in painting for three minutes, and after a while, I gradually lost interest. When it comes to class, I feel listless and wilted like a frostbitten eggplant. Isnt what I lack exactly the perseverance of the old man in the book? Later on, I became increasingly averse to painting and didnt want to continue learning. At this moment, my mother encouraged me, Dont give up halfway. If you persist for a while, you will discover the joy of painting.. So, with my mothers encouragement and my own perseverance, I persevered. Sure enough, my interest in painting is growing stronger and my paintings are getting better and better. Looking back at the book The Old Man and the Sea, I cannot help but feel a myriad of emotions: as long as there is perseverance, there is no peak that cannot be climbed; As long as there is perseverance, there is no insurmountable gap!

The Old Man and the Sea has given me so much inspiration, it is indeed a good book that benefits people for life!

The saying Reading a book a hundred times reveals its meaning illustrates the many benefits of reading. So this summer, my mom bought me many books, and one of them, The Old Man and the Sea, is the one that interests me the most.

The protagonist in the book is an old man who lives in a small fishing village. He says that he goes out to sea all year round to make a living, but for a long time he has achieved nothing. One day, he went out to sea to catch fish as usual. After waiting for a long time, a big fish took the bait! To the surprise of the old man, this big fish was even longer than its own hull! Based on the old mans years of fishing experience, in order to catch this fish, one must exhaust its strength. The fish couldnt break free, so they kept dragging the small boat and swimming. The old man drifted with the fish on the sea for three days and three nights, and finally caught the big fish with his persistence. He dragged the fish back, but who would have thought that it was this big fish that attracted the shark group, and in the end, the big fish was eaten by the sharks, leaving only its skeleton. The old mans indomitable spirit deeply shocked me.

In fact, life always has its ups and downs, and only by persisting can success outweigh failure. Just like when I first started learning dance, I need to practice some basic skills such as leg pressure and splits. At that time, I was still young and it wasnt difficult to press my legs, but splitting was a bit difficult. Every time I chop, I have to rely on the wall because only in this way can I chop straight. Although it was very difficult, I persevered and eventually overcame the challenge. If life is smooth sailing and nothing unpleasant happens, then we cannot learn from it. But when encountering unpleasant things, we must not give up easily. We must work hard and persevere, and believe that we will definitely succeed!

When we encounter difficulties, remember to persevere, victory is right in front of us.

Recently, I read a book called The Old Man and the Sea. This book is the work of American author Ernest Hemingway. This book mainly describes an old man named Santiago who has not caught any fish for 84 consecutive days. During these 84 days, a little boy followed him to study, but the boys parents felt that the old man had blood mold and let the child board another boat. The lonely old man did not give up, he still went out to sea to fish every day. One day, he finally caught a marlin that was bigger than a boat, but the big fish took him deep into the sea. The old man overcame numerous difficulties at sea and fought with the big fish for three days and three nights, finally killing the big fish. Due to the bloody smell of the marlin, sharks smelled it and rushed to eat it in groups. After reading Reflections on the Old Man and the Sea.

The old man exerted all his strength to fight the shark, but when he returned to the shore, the marlin was left with only its bones. I was deeply moved after reading this story, especially when the old man said, People can be destroyed, but they can never be defeated. Yes, no matter what we do, we must be optimistic, brave, strong, and never give up. Only in this way can we not be defeated by difficulties. I remember one time when I didnt score 100 in an exam, and I was very sad and disappointed. When I was about to give up, I suddenly remembered this story, the strong old man.

So I perked up, listened attentively in class, reviewed every day, and finally scored 100 points again. I think that each and every one of us will encounter difficulties and setbacks in our studies and lives. When you feel like giving up, think of optimistic, brave, and strong elderly people!

Last week, I finished reading a classic book called "The Old Man and the Sea". The story is about an old fisherman who, while fishing alone, caught a big fish but couldnt pull it up. After struggling with the fish for a few days, the old man realized that it was a super big fish even bigger than a boat. In the end, the old man didnt give up and fought against the big fish and sharks. Although he only brought back a skeleton in the end I greatly admire the strong will of the old man in the novel.

Although the old man knew it was very difficult to catch this fish, he still didnt give up. The old man stabbed the big fish with a spear, and the blood flowing from the wound attracted the shark. Even though he was surrounded by the shark, the old man didnt give up and fought against it for several rounds. Finally, he broke through the sharks encirclement and returned to the fishing port with a big fish skeleton, which earned him the respect and admiration of other fishermen.

When I read The old man thinks: This place is too close to the coast..., I thought to myself, the old man has already caught a few fish and wants to go further to catch a big fish. An old man is so ambitious, so as young people, shouldnt we work harder.

When I read Sharks began to quickly surround the old mans boat..., I couldnt help but feel nervous, and at the same time, I felt that the old man was so powerful. Not only did he kill a very large fish alone, which amazed me. At the same time, the old man didnt feel afraid even if he was surrounded by sharks. The weapons on the old mans boat were all destroyed by sharks, but the old man still fought against the sharks relentlessly, which not only highlighted the old mans bravery but also showed his strength.

The old man returned to the fishing port and brought back the skeleton of the big fish. The young man measured it and it reached 16 feet. I calculated it and it was about five meters before I found out that the fish could grow so big. I admire the old man even more.

In the end, the old man won everyones respect and also taught us some truths: the respect of others is important, and one can succeed by winning and working hard

After reading The Old Man and the Sea, my heart couldnt calm down for a long time.

Eighty four days and nights, the old fisherman Santiago caught nothing at sea, and the other fishermen mocked him, calling him a failure. So the next day, he firmly believed and went fishing in the deep sea where no one dared to go. He fought with a big marlin for three days and three nights, and finally caught it. When he set out on his way back, he encountered a shark and struggled to resist for several days before finally escaping danger. The fish meat was torn apart during the fight, leaving only a huge fish bone.

Eighty four days, nothing, its lonely and unbearable. After experiencing such great hardships, setbacks, and ridicule, the old fisherman still persevered, strengthened our beliefs, persisted in our original intention, and bravely set sail towards the deep sea.

A large marlin in the deep sea, both a prey and a hunter at any moment. He did not fear or shrink back, bravely fighting against it. For three days and three nights, no matter how energetic a person is, they will be exhausted, but with their tenacious will, they persevered and achieved victory.

In the end, the fight with the shark, although the ending was not so beautiful - the fish only had a skeleton left. In these battles, the old fisherman gained the belief of never giving up, the perseverance to move forward, the spirit of never giving up in adversity, the courage to fight against difficulties, and the tenacious will. This part is far greater than the value of a fish. Thanks to this quality and spirit, in the future, no matter what problems you encounter in daily life, they will be easily solved. He learned the true meaning of growth from repeated hardships.

Life is like this, only by experiencing hardships can we learn from them and gain growth. Only by facing them positively and optimistically can we not be hindered by them. In the face of difficulties, everyone is very small, but we can work hard to become stronger.

A good book is worth savoring carefully, gaining insights and understanding from it.

Recently, I read a book called The Old Man and the Sea. The fearless spirit of the old man in the face of the sea, the perseverance in fighting against big fish, and the determination to die in the face of shark invasion in this book have taught me what a hero is.

The old man and the sea master talked about: "An elderly Cuban fisherman faced a long failure - he couldnt catch fish for eighty-four days. But he still persisted in his belief and went out to sea to fish every day. On the eighty fifth day, he finally found a big fish. He tightly held onto the fishing line, and it was a long battle. For an hour, two hours, four hours, the fish kept dragging the small boat forward. Sweat had already soaked the old mans collar. He began to circle, oh, it came back, and it would be a battle. The old man used all his strength to stab the spear into the fishs body, and the fish died. But the struggle was not over yet. The shark smelled the smell of blood and came over to kill him. In the end, the old man rose up in rebellion, but the fish he brought back was only a little left.

In my eyes, although the old man lacks heroic strength and great events, he is a so-called ordinary hero. And there are probably two reasons for this.

One reason is that he did not choose to stagnate in the face of long-term failure, but instead chose to believe in hope and believe in himself to be able to turn things around. And at that time, not only had he not caught any fish for eighty-four days, but even the little boy who had followed him before had left him far away. However, he still believed that he could catch a big fish, which was the foundation of a persons success. For example, if a person chooses to give up due to a short-term exam failure, how can they see a victorious tomorrow?

The second is the duel between the old man and the big fish. At the beginning, the old man had no chance of winning against the big fish and was pulled away by the big fish for four hours. During this time, the old man wanted to tie up the fishing line, but he was afraid that the fish would break it, so he kept supporting himself with his body. He really wanted to rest, but he knew he couldnt give up and had to hold on. Later on, he held on for a whole night, half a day, and finally fought hard against the fish to achieve the final victory.

This story tells us that only by firmly believing that we will win and never fall in battle can we achieve the ultimate victory.

The Old Man and the Sea successfully portrayed an old fisherman as a classic tough guy, and its author Hemingway also won the Nobel Prize in Literature for this work. It tells the story of an old fisherman named Santiago who went out to sea alone to fish, but after 84 days, he still found nothing. It was not until the 85th day that he caught an incredibly huge marlin. This is a big fish that is two feet longer than his boat. It drifted with a small boat for two whole days and nights, and the old man experienced a difficult test he had never experienced before. Finally, he stabbed the big fish to death and tied it to the bow of the boat. However, at this moment, he encountered a series of attacks from sharks. The old man fought to the death with the sharks, but still couldnt save the big fish. In the end, what the old man brought home was only a bare fish skeleton. This book tells us a truth through this simple and ordinary language: human life can end, but human will and spirit cannot be exhausted. As the old man said, A person can be destroyed, but cannot be defeated.. The story of the elderly symbolizes the indomitable spirit of humanity. In reality, although he failed, he was a winner in spirit. His tenacious fighting spirit demonstrated the nobility and dignity of human beings. Life is inherently an endless pursuit. Its road is long, difficult, and full of obstacles, but as long as we bravely face challenges with confidence and tenacity, we will always be a true winner! I think it is precisely the resilient attitude towards life that this work possesses in such a dangerous life environment that attracts readers.

The Old Man and the Sea "made me understand that in the face of misfortune and injustice in life, instead of complaining and waiting, it is better to bravely open the door to life and approach hardships with a positive attitude. Even if the results are still not ideal, at least we have worked hard and can still illuminate the path ahead with strength.

I read a lot of books during this summer vacation. Among them, a good book accompanied me throughout the entire summer vacation. This book is The Old Man and the Sea . It is my favorite book, and I have also learned a lot of lessons from it.

The old man in the book is a fisherman, but his fishing skills are not very good. There is a child who goes fishing with the old man, and this child makes the old man feel very happy. One persons loneliness ultimately breaks the happiness of two people. But the good times didnt last long. The old man couldnt catch a big fish and the childs parents asked him to follow another boat to catch a big fish. Although we are no longer fishing together, the children often come to accompany the elderly, so that they are not lonely or isolated.

Once, the old man went fishing in the open sea. On the first day, the old man caught a very big fish. After spending two days and a night with it, the big fish was finally caught by the old man. The old man was very, very happy. But on the way back, I encountered a group of sharks. The old man exerted all his strength and fought fiercely against the shark. The shark pulled out the fish and ate all the meat. The old man only dragged home the skeleton of a big fish.

This is my favorite book to read, The Old Man and the Sea. This book tells me that the elderly are not overwhelmed by any difficulties, and they do their best to fight against the hardships in life. He also said a sentence; A person is not born to be defeated. You can eliminate them, but you cannot defeat them. This indomitable and unyielding spirit moves and inspires each and every one of us.

I suggest everyone also watch The Old Man and the Sea to experience the spirit of the elderly. After reading it, you will understand why I love reading that book so much.

Today I read the storybook The Old Man and the Sea at school.

The Old Man and the Sea "mainly tells the story of a special fishing trip by an old fisherman named Santiago. After not catching a single fish for eighty-four consecutive days, he was very lucky to catch a huge marlin the next day. That marlin is the fish he caught in his entire life! Marlins have a large body and naturally have great strength. It drifted on the sea for two days and two nights, dragging an old man and a small boat.

The old man experienced a difficult test he had never experienced before in these two days and nights. The marlin struggled fiercely on the sea, attempting to escape back into the open sea. The old man was exhausted and torn in order to tame the marlin, but he did not yield to the big marlin.

With his tenacious will, he finally killed the marlin and tied it to the bow of the boat. However, luck did not come, and what awaited the elderly was a greater test. A group of large sharks, sniffing the smell of blood, engaged in a life and death battle with an old man whose skin was already torn open. Although the old mans life was saved in the end, the sharks ate up the marlin, and what the old man dragged back was ultimately a bare skeleton

Failure, in the eyes of many people, is very frightening. Once it becomes rampant, it can shatter peoples fighting spirit, causing them to completely collapse and lose hope in life. If failure cannot defeat you, but is stepped on by you, then success must belong to you.

The road of life is full of twists and turns, and encountering failure is an ordinary thing. We should always have a strong and unyielding heart to face failure, and success will definitely come to us.

The Old Man and the Sea "is a book that helps people understand what life is and what strength is. In real life, we will constantly encounter setbacks and failures, and many people lose their love for life as a result.

In "The Old Man and the Sea," the protagonist Santiago is an old fisherman who, after eighty-four consecutive days without catching any fish, encounters a large marlin on the open sea far from land. After three days and nights of endurance and perseverance, Santiago finally defeated this big fish and successfully captured it. The marlin has a large body and naturally strong strength. It dragged the old man and the small boat on the sea for two days and two nights. The marlin struggled fiercely at sea, attempting to escape back to the sea. The old man, in order to subdue the marlin, tore himself open and finally killed it, tying it to the bow of the boat.

However, the first storm had passed, and the old man faced an even greater challenge - a group of sharks sniffing the smell of fish fought fiercely against the already scarred old man. In the end, although the old mans life was saved, the sharks ate up the marlin, and what the old man dragged back was ultimately a bare skeleton

After reading this book, I could not calm down for a long time. I thought that the climb of Mount Huangshan Mountain was only half way up. When I felt sore in my back and legs, I didnt stick to it. Now I think I should not.

Yes, the path of life cannot always be smooth sailing. There will always be bumps and failures, which is the most common. We should face difficulties and failures with perseverance, so that success can come to us.

A person is not born to be defeated. You can be destroyed, but you cannot be defeated. "This sentence will be remembered in my heart.

After studying the novel collection "The Old Man and the Sea" by foreign author Ernest Hemingway, I greatly admire the beliefs of the old fisherman described in the book. He taught me how to achieve greater success as a person.

The novel collection tells the story of an old fisherman who caught a big fish while fishing, but couldnt pull it up. After a few days, his fellow fisherman Zhou Xuan realized that it was a marlin that was more than his own ocean going ship. Although he knew it was difficult to win, he never gave up. In the end, he killed the marlin and tied it to the side of the ship. Afterwards, the foul smell of the marlin wound attracted sharks to compete for food, but the old man never gave up and finally brought the marlin bones to the fish harbor.

When I read: The old fisherman thought to himself, This place is so close to the bay... , I couldnt help but think of myself. Sometimes, having a small gain could easily lead to success, and I didnt want to put in all my effort to fight again. As a result, I missed out on achieving greater success. And when this old man knocked down some fish, he didnt just stick to the rules and come back, but moved forward towards a bigger overall goal, which is very worthy of my learning and training.

When the sharks were competing to eat the marlin, the old mans right leg had already cramped, so he had to use his left hand to drive away the shark. However, the marlin meat had already been eaten by the shark, and the old man was still humorously accusing his right hand of "resting while working". I greatly admire the spirit of the elderly who fearlessly face difficulties. He knew the enemy had a strong overall strength, but he was not afraid at all, just fearless of difficulties. In the process of learning and training, I should learn the spiritual essence of training old fishermen in order to achieve success. I also admire the old mans cheerfulness. After chasing away the shark, he didnt complain, but rather optimistically ridiculed himself. In life, damage is inevitable, but big household chores must be dealt with with with an open mind. Only then can one be considered a smart person in life, and only then can success be achieved.

The famous poem The Old Man and the Sea taught me that only by not sticking to conventions, not fearing difficulties in the face of adversity, and facing life with an open mind, can we achieve greater success!

Take the lead in reading and cultivate the cultural temperament of the city with the fragrance of books. Vigorously carry out reading activities, create a bookish campus, and build a reading brand. Starting from myself, starting from us teachers and students, leading families and society to read, and making positive contributions to building a bookish Kaifeng.

I read The Old Man and the Sea for the first time and was naive at a young age. It has been more than ten years since I read The Old Man and the Sea again. Every time I reread, I have different feelings and additional gains.

This book tells the story of Santiago, who went eighty-four days without catching a single fish, and his whole family was so hungry that they felt heartbroken. But Santiago remained undaunted and continued to go fishing on the 85th day. This time, he finally caught a marlin that was 85 feet long and weighed 1500 pounds! The joy in Santiagos heart is indescribable in words! He fought fiercely against the marlin Finally, he spent several days killing the marlin and hanging it at the bow of the boat. However, many fierce sharks came to snatch Santiagos spoils of war, and Santiago fearlessly accepted the challenge of the sharks. But the enemy was outnumbered, and Santiago tried his best to save the marlin he had painstakingly caught, which was gnawed into a skeleton by the shark. A short story that portrays a strong and indomitable image of an old man. He is a failure, but in reality, he is also a successful person.

As the saying goes, the peaks of the precious sword are sharpened, and the fragrance of plum blossoms comes from the bitter cold. In learning and life, we inevitably encounter unpleasant things: losing confidence due to unsatisfactory work, giving up on ourselves due to disagreements with friends... After reading "The Old Man and the Sea" again, I think: Compared to the old man, what are the difficulties in my life! The story of the old man and the sea is a hymn that advocates the spirit of perseverance that never yields even if the result is nothing, and praises the moral triumph in failure.

Life is an endless pursuit, and the road is long, difficult, and full of various obstacles. However, as long as we bravely face challenges with a confident heart, we will definitely be true winners.

The sea roars like an unharmed beast, pressing towards the small boat like a mountain. The old man on the boat is also fighting against the sea and sharks for his big fish. Recently, I borrowed The Old Man and the Sea and felt the precious cultural spirit of an old mans perseverance and courage to move forward.

This book tells the story of an old man who failed many times while fishing, but persisted in the sea and spent his days fishing under the scorching sun. Finally, one day, the big fish took the bait, and the old man struggled with it for five days and five nights before finally pulling it onto the boat. But the plan lies in the people, and the success lies in the days when the wind, storm, and shark should come in. Finally, the old man returned to the shore, leaving only the skeletal fish

What I admire the most is the old fisherman. In him, I have excavated and developed many qualities that are generally gold. His qualities of courage, perseverance, and never giving up until he succeeds have left a deep impression in my mind. His courage to move forward, and what I still remember vividly is that he dared to face this terrible natural disaster and the terrifying shark swarm in order to improve his fish. He dares to face these facts positively, using his clear eyes, broad shoulders, and brave heart to lift up a piece of sky that belongs to him. When faced with financial storms, he needs to closely connect with the big fish and rely on us to be together; But when they encountered various sharks, he picked up a wooden stick and fought against them regardless of the safety of the company itself. His courage to move forward deeply moved me.

The old man in the book also reminds me of the revolutionary soldiers who fought for our Peoples Republic of China. Qiu Jins pierced fingers fell silent, not revealing any information. In addition to her, there are thousands of revolutionary soldiers who have sacrificed everything for our country. How brave they were, paving a bloody path for our victory with their own blood. They are engraved in my heart.

We must face everything bravely, because courage is the golden path to success.

In 1951, I read Hemingways novel The Old Man and the Sea.

The book "The Old Man and the Sea" tells the story of an old fisherman who, due to his old age and physical weakness, had not gone fishing for a long time, and was ridiculed by other fishermen. But the old man ignored the terrible ridicule and instead ignited his fighting spirit, going fishing in the sea with a young man who had taught him hand in hand.

The elderly are very lucky. He encountered a big fish, but because he was not as strong as when he was young, he had no choice but to be pulled deep into the sea by the fish. But the old man did not give up the fishing rod, but engaged in a battle of willpower with the big fish. After two days and two nights, he finally won. But just as the old man was about to bring his loot home, a group of sharks stared at his big fish. Exhausted, the old man and the sharks engaged in a desperate battle, but the old man ultimately failed to save the big fish and only returned to land with a pair of fish bones. People didnt laugh at him because they were shocked by the old mans tenacious willpower!

After reading The Old Man and the Sea, my heart was very unsettled. I was infected by the elderlys behavior and his indomitable spirit. Although he was old and weak, he did not give up or be intimidated by any difficulties. He fought against big fish, sharks, the sea, and fate with his own will. He doesnt believe he will lose because he has confidence and believes he can do it. He doesnt want to bow down, he must be a man!

The old man once said: A person is never born to be defeated. You can eliminate them, but you cannot defeat them. I really like this sentence. Because there are many things in this sentence, as long as you understand it, you will be inspired and moved by the indomitable spirit of the elderly. Yes, a person is not born to be defeated. Although you can destroy his body, his spirit and faith still exist, and he will never fail. Therefore, we must have a tenacious spirit and unyielding faith, only then will you not be intimidated or defeated when facing difficulties.

After reading Hemingways novel The Old Man and the Sea, I felt the greatness of this old man. After eighty-four days without catching any fish, he was the only one. Heaven loves to joke around. The old man worked hard to catch the fish, and waited for a few days to find it. On his way back, he was actually devoured by a group of ruthless sharks. After struggling for a few days, all his dreams disappeared bit by bit with the flesh bitten by the sharks. However, the old man still refused to give up like this. In the end, he broke through the encirclement and brought the big fish back to the fishing port, which impressed other fishermen greatly. The old fisherman always perseveres in his work, faces difficulties head-on, never gives up halfway, and his spirit of fearlessness and hard work deeply moves me

When I read The marlin began to swim quickly around the small fishing boat, winding the ropes onto the mast. The old man raised a steel fork in his right hand and threw it to its heart with all his might as it jumped out of the water. With a mournful cry, the life of the big fish ended, and it floated quietly on the surface of the water... I greatly admired the old fisherman. He knew that his opponent was strong, but he remained calm and composed without any retreat. It was precisely because of this spirit of not retreating to difficulties but facing them head-on that the old fisherman won this life and death battle. We also need to learn from the old fishermans spirit of fearlessness, fearlessness, and perseverance in doing things in life, in order to achieve success.

But what impressed me was the optimistic attitude of the old man. When the bloody smell of the marlin was smelled by a group of sharks, they rushed to swim and grab food. The old mans left hand was cramping, and he could only use his right hand to defend himself with weapons such as a wooden stick and the mouth of a captured swordfish, and ultimately drove away the group of sharks. But half of the big fishs meat has already been eaten, and when the old man humorously criticized his left hand for "resting while he should be working", I was also impressed by the old mans optimistic spirit. In life, some losses are inevitable, and we should approach them with an optimistic attitude rather than nitpicking. We should approach it with an optimistic attitude. In life, as long as we look at the good side of him, everything will go smoothly and be full of sunshine. On the contrary, he is a pessimistic person who will not be happy in any situation.

The Old Man and the Sea "depicts a nearly sixty year old fisherman who, while fishing alone, catches a big fish but cannot pull it up. After a few days of maneuvering with the big fish, the old fisherman realized that it was a marlin several times larger than his own fishing boat. Although he knew it was difficult to win, he still didnt give up. Later, due to the fishy smell on the wound of the marlin, several groups of sharks were attracted to feed on it, but the old man refused to give up and eventually broke through the encirclement. However, at this point, the marlin was left with only bones. Finally, the old fisherman brought the bones of the big fish back to the fishing port, which impressed other fishermen greatly. He is the tough guy Santiago in Hemingways works.

Why didnt Hemingway let the old man ultimately win? In the words of the old man in the novel, A person is not born to be defeated.. People can be destroyed, but they cannot be defeated. "This is the philosophy that" The Old Man and the Sea "aims to reveal. Undeniably, everyone has flaws. When a person acknowledges this flaw and strives to overcome it instead of succumbing to it, regardless of whether they can ultimately overcome their own flaw, they are a winner because they have already overcome their compromise on the flaw. They are the winner of their courage and confidence.

Isnt life like that too? When encountering difficulties, we should also learn from the spirit of the old fisherman who fearlessly faces difficulties and moves forward, and not shrink back. As the music master Beethoven once said, I can be destroyed, but I cannot be conquered..

The path of personal growth is long and full of obstacles, but we cannot bow down to difficulties and continue to walk confidently! The Old Man and the Sea also tells us that it is foolish not to hold onto hope, and even if life deceives us, we should approach it with optimism. So I send a poem to Santiago and those who are disappointed with life and cant find direction: "If life deceives you, dont be sad, dont be impatient, believe it, happy days will come. The heart always longs for the future, everything is fleeting, everything will pass away. And what has passed will become eternal nostalgia

I watched The Old Man and the Sea during this winter vacation. The book mainly tells the story of an old man who, after 84 consecutive days without catching any fish, discovered a large salmon on the 85th day and began a pursuit that lasted for 3 days and 3 nights. After comparison, the big fish was killed by him, and on the way back, the old man was attacked by sharks. When he returned to port, the old man was left with only the head, tail, and spine

The biggest inspiration this book gave me is not to be afraid of failure and difficulties.

In the book, the old man is so strong that he is not afraid of failure or difficulties. Therefore, misfortune did not defeat the old man, but he stepped on fate and became a strong person in life.

I have also seen similar scenes in movies. In The Mission of a Dog. In order to find his owner Ethan, the little dog Bailey went through repeated failures and difficulties and was reborn four times. After comparison, he finally found Ethan. Isnt the spirit of the little dog Bailey the same as that of the elderly?

In real life, it is inevitable to encounter difficulties, but we must face them squarely and defeat them with perseverance. If we fail, we must learn from our failures... Think about ourselves again. Whenever we encounter a little difficulty, we want to retreat and give up. When I dont do well in an exam, I dare not face it and lose confidence in the next exam, leading to repeated disappointment. It seems like we have entered a vicious cycle. But after reading The Old Man and the Sea, I learned that there is no life without failure. Everyone will experience failure, and what we need to do is to stand up again after failure, bravely face it, find the reasons for failure, summarize experience, and overcome it.

In the face of difficulties, we still have to work hard and sweat like the elderly. Without effort, how can we reap rewards? There is no such thing as a free lunch in the world, so even if you try hard and dont succeed, what does it matter? We have tried our best, so there will be no regrets left.

I believe that with my efforts, I will become as brave and fearless as the elderly. Not afraid of failure!

A ship crossed the end of the world and sailed towards the unknown sea, with a flag hanging from its bow that was weathered by wind and rain but still incredibly beautiful. On the flag, the four words "Beyond the Limits" danced like a cloud dragon, shining brightly! Writer Hemingway once commented on his book "The Old Man and the Sea" in this way.

Santiago is an old fisherman who fishes alone at sea, but has not harvested anything for several months in a row. After finally catching a large marlin, I struggled with it for two days and nights. However, on the way back, I was attacked by a shark. Despite killing a few sharks, Santiago, who had no helpers or tools, was left with only a set of bones.

Hemingways Santiago was not successful, but he was also not defeated. Just like what Santiago said in the book:

A person is not born to be defeated. You can eliminate them, but you cant defeat them

However, to be honest, nothing is easy

Yes, failure is terrible, and its like a sudden storm that can break you down at any time, causing you to lose the fighting spirit to persevere. But failure is also the mother of success. If you can truly have a strong fighting spirit, why not step on it, overcome the fear in your heart, and get the fruits that belong to you?

In Zeng Qingcans book "If Youre Not Brave, Who Will Be Strong for You", I saw the story of Hollywood star Stallone: he was born unlucky and wandered the streets at the age of 13. It wasnt until he was 20 that he suddenly realized and aspired to become an actor. Within two years, he refused more than 1000 times... but didnt defeat him. As Santiago said, "Man can be destroyed, but he cannot be defeated

The elderly have failed, but they can still become the image of a "tough guy" in everyones hearts, which shows that the result is not the best name to interpret a person. Your attitude and firm will in doing things can become your final impression in everyones hearts.

It can be destroyed, but it cannot be defeated. -- Title

I recall the inspirational novel full of heroic spirit - The Old Man and the Sea. The author Hemingway is a famous American writer who has created novels such as "The Sun Also Rises" and "Farewell to Arms", which are renowned in the world literary world. The Old Man and the Sea "is his representative work. In 1954, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature. It once set a prehistoric record, selling 35 million copies in 48 hours. This book mainly tells the story of Santiago, a Cuban fisherman who went out to sea alone after 84 consecutive days of fishing without any catch, and caught a large marlin. However, on the way back to port, he was devoured by a fierce shark and only had the wreckage left. The old man could only bring the fish skeleton and drag his tired body back to the port.

In this book, I met the tenacious Santiago and the diligent Manolin. Their sincere friendship moved me. Manolin has been secretly encouraging Santiago, and Santiago is also full of new hope for life. He has a grateful heart, and when he encounters setbacks, he does not give up, but instead thanks the hardships. Because each and every hardship has made him more tenacious!

It would be great if the child were here! "This sentence is repeatedly spoken from the elderly population, indicating how much the elderly love children. When San Diego was by the seaside, he lived with his children as if they were family. When an elderly person goes out to sea alone, whether they encounter difficulties or gain something, they always say: If only the child were here. They rely on each other, and children are like an indispensable part of the elderlys life. Their hearts are connected, and the child is also the spiritual pillar of the elderly. The two create an unbreakable bond. When the old man hasnt caught any fish for eighty-four consecutive days and is seen as a failure by those around him, the child sees the old man as a hero who perseveres and perseveres!

The Old Man and the Sea is a true legend of an unbeatable tragic hero. Unforgettable friendship is a true portrayal of the unbreakable emotions between a child and an elderly person!

The scene of the old man fighting with the shark played back in my mind, and I picked up the book and savored it carefully—— notes preceding the text of a book or following the title of an article

The Old Man and the Sea "is a book by American author Ernest Hemingway, which tells the story of an old fisherman named Santiago who went 84 days without catching a single fish, but did not give up and resolutely went out to sea to fish again. This time, he tried his best to catch a big fish, but he was attacked by sharks one after another. However, he did not give up on the big fish because of this, but continued to compete with the sharks, although he only brought back a fish skeleton in the end.

Chairman Mao said, "Nothing is difficult in the world, as long as one is willing to climb." Su Dongpo said, "The lotus is exhausted and there is no rain cover, and the chrysanthemum remains with proud frost branches." Zhu Xi said, "The sharp edge of a precious sword comes from grinding, and the fragrance of plum blossoms comes from bitter cold." They all have the qualities of strength and perseverance. When we praise them and the elderly, do we still need to learn from them?

Take my example of practicing calligraphy. When I first started learning, I held the brush in a suspended position, which was difficult to hold steadily. Moreover, after writing for a while, it became sour and painful. At this point, I wanted to give up. It was too difficult to practice calligraphy, but. As soon as I thought about the old fisherman Santiago not giving up because he couldnt catch fish for 84 days, I perked up again. No old fisherman had been defeated by huge difficulties or setbacks, so how could I give up easily. I picked up my pen again and persisted for two hours every day without relaxing. I passed one word, two words, and three words. Finally, I have written a good handwriting now, because I didnt give up back then!

Looking at US President Lincoln again, he ran for office 13 times in his lifetime, but failed 12 times. This shows how strong Lincolns will was. Difficulties are like springs. It depends on whether you are strong or not. If you are strong, he becomes weak, and if you are weak, he becomes strong. If Lincoln had given up the election due to his previous failures, he would not have had the day to become president.

A person is not born to be defeated, you can eliminate them, but you cannot defeat them. We never give in to failure, failure is not terrible, we will face difficulties and never retreat.

I have read many books, which have taught me a lot of knowledge and also taught me many principles of being a good person. Among them, there is one book that deeply impressed me, which is "The Old Man and the Sea" written by the famous writer Hemingway

The book "The Old Man and the Sea" tells the story of Santiago, a Cuban fisherman who failed to catch any fish for 84 consecutive days and was considered a failure by other fishermen. However, he persevered and finally caught a large marlin. The marlin dragged his small boat at sea for three days before exhausting himself. After being killed by him, he tied it to one side of the boat and was repeatedly attacked by sharks on his way back. He used all means to fight back. When returning to port, only the fish head, tail, and spine remained. Although the fish meat was bitten off, nothing could break his brave will.

The author summarized the story in his own concise language, which is very concise and accurate, allowing readers to rediscover the spirit of the old man who never gives up.

The victory of the old man lies entirely in his indomitable and unyielding spirit. The old man caught a big marlin at sea, knowing that the opponent was stronger than him, but still determined to fight to the end; I tried again and again when preparing to kill the marlin, but each time was unsuccessful. However, I kept trying and finally killed the marlin; When the sharks repeatedly attacked, he used all his strength to resist; The fishing fork was taken away by the shark. He tied the small knife to the oar handle and stabbed it randomly. The knife broke, and he used a short stick, which was also lost. He used the helm to strike... I felt his spirit time and time again. People are not born to fail. A person can be destroyed, but not defeated. Although the fish and meat have been bitten off, nothing can break his heroic will. A skeleton is still the best proof of a hero.

The saying goes that heroes are barbarians based solely on their success or failure, and true heroes are those who achieve victories beyond their own power. The author finally came up with their own viewpoint from this book, which may seem different, but the author cleverly used this story to persuade readers. This is the biggest gain I gained after reading The Old Man and the Sea.

In the future, no matter what difficulties I encounter, I will face them with full confidence, persist until the end, and never back down.

A ship crossed the end of the world and sailed towards the unknown sea, with a flag hanging from its bow that was weathered by wind and rain but still incredibly beautiful. On the flag, the four words "Beyond Limits" danced like a cloud dragon, shining brightly! This is how author Hemingway praised his work "The Old Man and the Sea".

The book The Old Man and the Sea portrays a vivid image of a tough guy - Grandpa Santiago. Grandpa Santi Aguo has been fishing at sea all year round, but once he hadnt caught a single fish for 84 days. When he went out to sea again, he caught a big fish. Unexpectedly, on the way back, I encountered groups of sharks coming to eat fish meat. The old man exerted all his strength and bravely fought against the shark. In the end, the shark ate all the meat it could eat, and the old man eventually dragged back a large skeleton.

After reading this book, my heart couldnt calm down for a long time. I really admire Grandpa Santi Aguos indomitable spirit. My favorite quote from Grandpa Santiago is: "A person is not born to be defeated. You can eliminate them, but you cannot defeat them." Yes, only through persistent efforts can we reach the shore of success. This ordinary and respectable old man deeply taught us: "We should not be afraid of death, but should be optimistic and tenacious, and do our best to fight against setbacks in fate with indomitable determination

Isnt that how we learn? Some students will give up when they encounter difficulties or troubles, and sometimes say things like "I cant do it" or "I cant do it". But the old man and Grandpa Santiago in the sea did not back down when they encountered sharks, and even when they lost all their weapons, they did not despair, still maintaining an optimistic attitude. The harpoon was taken away by the shark, and he tied the small knife to the oar handle and stabbed it haphazardly; The knife broke, he used a short stick; The short stick was also thrown away, and he used the tiller to strike. So, this book illustrates that the most important thing for people when facing difficulties is to maintain an optimistic attitude. Isnt the confident and persevering spirit of Grandpa Santiago in the book exactly what we lack?

Persist until the end and never give up, this is the truth that this book is going to tell us.

I have many good books at home, such as Journey to the West, Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Biographies of Famous People, One Hundred Thousand Whys, and so on. Today, I would like to recommend one of them to everyone, which is "The Old Man and the Sea" written by American author Mr. Hemingway.

This book mainly tells the story of an elderly fisherman who has been fishing alone at sea for years, but has not achieved good results. Once, after several days of losing nothing, he caught a marlin weighing several hundred kilograms after a prolonged battle. Although exhausted, he successfully caught the marlin. However, on the way back, he unfortunately encountered a shark attack. Despite the old fisherman using all his methods to confront the shark group, the marlin still couldnt escape the fate of being eaten up by the shark group. In the end, the scarred old man dragged back only the skeleton of a big fish.

A person is not born to be defeated. You can eliminate them, but you cannot defeat them. "This famous saying from" The Old Man and the Sea "tells us to have a tenacious spirit of never giving up and persevering.

After reading The Old Man and the Sea, I was deeply moved. I was moved by the spirit of the old man in the article who faced difficulties head-on, and in my daily life, I am the one who needs this spirit.

In life, every time I encounter difficulties, I am unwilling to take them seriously. Whether its Chinese, math, or English, when encountering difficulties, one tends to avoid them. I want to try, but I cant help but give up, thinking to myself, Anyway, the teacher will definitely explain it later. Ill do it later, and Ill definitely get it done..

After reading the book The Old Man and the Sea, I felt deeply ashamed and self blaming for my previous thoughts. I vowed to be like the old man in the book, with the spirit of facing difficulties and persevering.

In future learning and life, we must be brave enough to try, face difficulties, and move forward courageously. Only in this way can we continuously improve and reach new heights through experimentation.

Alright, after listening to my story, do you also want to read the book The Old Man and the Sea?

I also enjoy reading, and among all the books I have read, my favorite and most touching is The Old Man and the Sea .

The Old Man and the Sea "tells the story of Alexander, an old man who, due to the pressure of life, goes to the deep sea to fish and struggles tenaciously against all difficulties. The old man Alexander in the book is a tough guy in my heart. Old and lonely, he did not succumb to the fierce marlin, greedy shark, harsh climate, and many others? The fate fully demonstrates the wisdom of the elderly. Perseverance and tenacity. The relationship between the old man and nature here is not just about conquering and being conquered, but also has a deep sense of mutual understanding and closeness. As the book says, "The old man always treats the sea as a woman, as a woman to be favored or not favored. If she does something reckless or mischievous, its because she cant help it. The elderly always maintain an optimistic attitude towards every day, even if they cannot catch a big fish, they do not give up and continue to work hard; After catching a big fish, persistently fight against it.

The old man was also filled with admiration for fish in his struggle with them, which is a kind of connection between humans and nature, making the whole book purer, broader, and deeper. Although the big fish died in the final snatch by fierce marlins and greedy sharks, leaving only its skeleton, and the old man fell asleep exhausted, the huge fish skeleton proved the old mans bravery and perseverance. Even though the ending was sad, the old mans spirit moved me deeply. That is extraordinary perseverance, and the old man proved with his actions that anything is possible, as long as you are willing to work hard and strive for your ideals and goals; Even if there are many hardships and difficulties in the process of struggle, as long as you work hard, someone will recognize you. Even if you fail to achieve your ideals, in peoples hearts, you have achieved success.

Reading brings us knowledge and profound emotions. We should read more books to read for the rise of China.
